Meet the January Trio
- Chroma Pulse – A neon-soaked platformer that lets you paint the world as you run, jump, and swing through a city that reacts to every splash of color.
- Ironbound Tides – A co-op pirate roguelike where permadeath is real but so is the siren song of procedurally generated treasure maps.
- Pixel Bloom – A farming sim wrapped in a mystery: your crops grow memories, and selling them reveals the secret history of a forgotten town.

January is historically Sony’s quietest month; studios are polishing spring blockbusters, and players are digging into backlogs. Yet this month’s drop pulls off a neat trick: all three games are day-one indie debuts, meaning subscribers are sampling fresh code before any review embargo lifts.
“We wanted to start 2026 with games that feel like unwrapping gifts you didn’t know you asked for,” Grace Park, senior content partnerships manager at Sony, told me over Zoom. “Color, camaraderie, curiosity—those were our North Stars.”
