during an argument at the couple’s Foxborough apartment.
What the Police Report Says
According to the affidavit released Wednesday, the alleged victim suffered visible bruises on her left arm and knee. She told investigators the incident began over a text message and escalated when Barmore grabbed me by the shoulders and slammed me onto the hardwood floor.

Legal Fallout
Barmore was charged with assault and battery, a misdemeanor that carries up to 2½ years in jail. He was released on $5,000 bail and ordered to stay away from the alleged victim. His next court date is set for July 8.
Team Reaction
Head coach Jerod Mayo declined to comment on disciplinary action, but NFL policy allows the league to place a player on the Commissioner’s Exempt List while legal proceedings unfold. The Patriots open training camp in 38 days.
